WELCOME! This is your starting point of your academy. In the next 1-2 weeks, one of our instructors will get in touch and onboard you into the academy.

To get a kick-start and to make the onboarding meetup as effective as possible, we recommend you highly to read this page in its entirety.

 

1. The Tools

Currently, we are using the following tools:

  1. This website - for managing attendance and showcasing your points and profile. Update your profile with contact information, a picture and a brief description. Other students want to learn, who you are.
  2. Discord - For asynchronous communication, chatting, Q&A, etc. Access discord here - Sometimes, the captcha of Discord is bery restrictive and does not allow for your registration even youa re human. If this is the case, please get in touch with Chris or follow this guide.
  3. Google Drive - for sharing all recordings, more information like books, PowerPoint presentations and exports from Mural.
  4. Mural - virtual collaboration tool for our remote / online sessions.
  5. Zoom - for communication for our sessions and to be able to create focused breakout rooms. The link to zoom is on each of the quests / sessions site, where you registered for it.

2. The Experience Levels

Students will be led through the academy via so-called Experience Levels. This will help the students to give focus on their current level of Agility and protect them to choose classes, which require prior knowledge.

Each chosen aspiration requires a certain number of xPs  to be able to progress to the next level. To progress from Experience Level 1 to Level 2, every aspiration requires 12 000 xPs. 

Currently, The Experience Levels are:

  • Level 01: Foundations, Introductions
  • Level 02: Self-Development & Agile practices
  • Level 03: Coaching, Mentoring & Facilitation
  • Level 04: Management & Leadership
  • Level 05: Organizations & Org Design
  • Level 06: Running a Consulting Business (add-On)

3. Register & Attend a quest

When you are just starting with the Academy, it is very likely, that you are currently in Experience Level 1 (unless otherwise noted in your onboarding call). It is up to you to choose, which quest and session, you would like to start with (an Instructor might have suggested you a journey in the onboarding call). Every session, you have access is visible via our session calendar. Just click on one of the sessions, you are interested in and then click "Book Now".

You can add the event to your calendar by clicking on the respective link. To attend, just click on the zoom link.

4. Observe your xP / credits?

Our Coaching Academy is designed similarly like an Online Role Playing Game. At the start of the journey, the student will choose one out of 7 aspirations (see below). Each of the aspiration will require a different focus on different competences and activities. Through participation in the offered online training sessions, students will acquire different Experience Points (xPs) for the different competences and activities. 
In the semdi Agile Coaching academy, every student is their own pilot. It is up top the student to decide, when to attend which course and is responsible to stay up to date with all the topics through assignments and homework.

5. Choose your aspiration

Wizard Similar to Gandalf in "Lord of the Rings", the Wizard focuses on the big picture. A Wizard will be able to consult and coach organizations and enterprises on a wholesome level.
The focus of an Agile coach with the aspiration Wizard is about Knowledge Consulting and Teaching.
To become a Wizard, a student needs to collect 121 000 Experience Points in total.

PrinceThe Prince's main focus is to align the different parts of the organization and to ensure that the Agile values, principle are visible, understood and implemented in all parts of the organization. Sometimes, Princes will work on an organization level, sometimes on a tribe or department level and sometimes on a portfolio or team level - depending on the size of the organization.
The focus of an Agile coach with the aspiration Prince is about Facilitation, Practices and Behavior.
To become a Prince, a student needs to collect 118 000 Experience Points in total.

HalflingIn literature, the Halflings are always the best, when they work as a team. Therefore, the aspiration towards a Halfling is about collaboration, communication and alignment. Halflings mostly work on middle management and team level.

Mason The Mason is the artisan of being able to execute and. build the nicest architectures. In an organization, Masons will help teams to automate their tools, improve hard skills, practices and ensure, the technical landscape as well as the processs are solid.
The focus of Agile Coaches with a Mason aspirations is on the right practices, skill and knowledge, which they can prove through Certifications.
To become a Mason, a student needs to collect 105 000 Experience Points in total.

Magic Mirror In Snow White, the Magic Mirror is a tool to reflect the inner thoughts and observations of the individuals looking into it. As Coaches, we are often just the mirror for the individual, and the clarity comes through the thought process of the individual.
The focus of Agile Coaches with a Magic Mirror aspiration is very diverse, with the biggest emphasis on Coaching and Mentoring.
To become a Spirit, a student needs to collect 116 000 Experience Points in total.

Future Plans of the Academy

The Coaching Academy just started. But we already look for ways to improve it.
  • Health  Points: To make people stay active and ensure, that the learning is sustainable, we will develop a health points (HP) system, which could take the duration of breaks in between different classes into account.
  • Self Video Learning: With the growth of the academy, we will record sessions and enable the possibility, that participants do not need to wait until the classes are held online or offline synchronously. Through recordings and videos, students can choose what and when to learn.
  • Quizzes & Assessment: Through Quizzes and Assessments, we can evaluate, if the student has watched the video and can benefit from the xPs.
  • Real life internships: Agile Coaching needs practices. We have the plan to build up strong partnerships with organizations to enable students to join a company for a certain time and put the theories into practice.
  • More Automation: Assigning points for attendance and enabling visibility about the progress is somewhat a manual process at the moment. Therefore, it can take times until certain attendance records will be updated. It is our goal to automate this in the future.
  • Non-Fungible Tokens: As a long-term plan, we are looking into the possibility to turn your attendance record into Non-Fungible Tokens to ensure the integrity and authenticty of each use rprofile.
